Microbiology Intensive Training Course

This course is designed for individuals who do not have prior diagnostic experience in a microbiology laboratory but aspire to pursue careers as Associate Practitioners, Trainee Biomedical Scientists, or Biomedical Scientists in the field of microbiology.

2) Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

3) Streaking Techniques

4) Making different agars and broths

5) Underestanding the selectivity nature of different agars and broths

6) Working with a diverse range of Microorganisms to underestand their properties and how they are processed in Research and Diagnostic Laboratories. 

7) Incubating a series of different microorganisms 

8) Analysing and Identifying unknown microorganisms 

9) API testing to identify specific unknown microorganisms

10) Using PCR test to detect and identify specific microorganisms

11) CV and Personal statment/ cover letter preparation

12) Mock Interview to prepare you for Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (NHS or Private industries.
